Canvas Print Size Guide from Kent’s Print Experts

Choosing the right wall art can be tricky. First of all, many people struggle with choosing the best living room canvas print sizes. If you pick a size that is too small, it looks lost on the wall. On the other hand, if you choose one that is too large, it easily overwhelms the room.

Therefore, we have created this simple guide to help you find the perfect fit for your UK home!

How to Choose the Right Size for Your Space

1. Measure Your Wall Space

• Before you do anything else, you must measure your empty wall. As a result, you will know exactly what space you are working with. Furthermore, a good rule of thumb is that your canvas should take up about 60% to 75% of the available empty wall space.

2. Consider the Furniture

• Next, you should look at the furniture below your wall. If you are hanging a print above a sofa, the canvas should be between 50% and 75% of the furniture’s total width. Consequently, your room will look perfectly balanced.

Popular living room canvas print sizes

We do all our canvas making in-house. Because of this, we know exactly what sizes work best for our customers. Here are the most popular choices:

• Small (12×12 inches): This size is perfect for creating a gallery wall. In addition, you can mix and match multiple small prints together to tell a story.
• Medium (20×16 inches): This is an excellent choice for smaller living rooms. Alternatively, it works beautifully hung directly above a small side table or radiator.
• Large (30×20 inches or bigger): If you want a stunning centrepiece above your sofa, you need a large print. Most importantly, large prints make a massive impact in any home.
